There is nothing better than learning about history. But it’s a lot better when everything is right next to each other. Mengusovce is in a great location in that you can get really everywhere quickly and conveniently:
- Visit the historic towns – Spišská Sobota (18km) , Levoča and the Church of St. James with the altar of Master Paul (40km) and Kežmarok (27km)
- get to know the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Spiš Castle (54km), the largest medieval castle complex in Europe, and the cultural monuments of its surroundings – Spišská Kapitula and Žehra
- visit Kežmarok Castle (28 km) or Ľubovniansky Castle (61 km)
- in the vicinity of Mengusovce there is the Museum of the Liptov Village in Pribylina (37km), the Reservation of Folk Architecture Vlkolínec (75km) and the Red Monastery Museum (78km)
- in Východná (21km) folklore festivals are held annually
